A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF
SEIZED ASSETS PURSUANT TO THE COMPREHEN-
SIVE CONTROL ACT OF 1984.
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Control Act of 1984 authorizes
the implementation of guidelines to effect equitable transfer of
forfeited property to participating local law enforcement agen-
cies; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bakersfield
desires to have all available seized assets transferred to the
benefit of the City of Bakersfield for law enforcement use; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to authorize the Mayor
to accept such seized assets on behalf of the City of Bakersfield
pursuant to applicable laws and regulations without further action
by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mayor is hereby
~uthorized to accept all seized assets offered to the City of
Bakersfield under provisions of the Comprehensive Control Act of
1984 and pursuant to said Act and other applicable laws and regu-
lations. Such assets shall become the property of the City of
Bakersfield and such assets or their derivatives shall be used
exclusively for law enforcement purposes.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
