HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 48-87RESOLUTION NO. 48-87 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING RESOLUTIONS 23-87, 24-87, and 25-87 RELATING TO STAND-BY PAY FOR POLICE SUPERVISORY UNIT EMPLOYEES. WHEREAS, the City Council negotiated for salary increase and related benefits not provided in Resolutions 23-87, 24-87, and 25-87; and WHEREAS, Section 15 ~elating to stand-by pay for Police Supervisory Unit employees did not incorporate previously negoti- ated benefits. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Section 15 of Resolutions 23-87, 24-87, and 25-87 is amended to read as follows: SECTION 15. St~iBy Pa_~ Police Supervisory Unit employees who are directed to remain on ready stand-by during off-duty hours shall be compen- sated at the rate of TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($25.00) per eight-hour shift of such ready stand-by service. Such employees actually called back to work during stand-by assignment shall be paid for both the ready stand-by rate and the hourly rate for one and one- half times the hours worked, computed to the nearest one-tenth of an hour (six minutes). All ready stand-by assignments must be authorized by the department head. .......... o0o ..........
