RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN Word Processin9 Equipment CAN
BE REASONABLY OBTAINED FROM ONLY ONE VENDOR AND
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO DISPENSE WITH
BIDDING.
WHEREAS, 'the Finance Director has determined, and has
recommended that this Counci~ find, that word processing equipment for
the Public Works Department can be reasonably obtained from only one
vendor and has recommended that this Counci~ authorize dispensing
with bidding therefor iD accordance with Section 3.20.060 B. of the
Bakersfield Municipa~ Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
The Council hereby finds that Word Processing equip-
ment for the Public WorKs Department can be reasonably obtained from only
one vendor, because it must cable connect and be compatable with
existing system, to wit: Western Information Systems (CPT) and
authorizes the Finance Director to dispense with bidding therefor
and to negotiate the purchase of same from such vendor.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on March 11, 1987 , by
the following vote:
