A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD DETERMINING TO UNDERTAKE PROCEEDINGS
PURSUANT 9?0 SPECIAL ASSESSMENT AND ASSESSMENT
BOND ACTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF IMPROVEMENTS WITHOUT PROCEEDINGS UNDER
DIVISION 4 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 87-1.
WHEREAS, all of the owners of more than 60% in area of
the property subject to assessment therefor have signed and filed
with the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield a written petition
for undertaking proceedings pursuant to special assessment and
assessment bond acts, and to assess the costs thereof upon the
properties benefited by said improvements, and waiving proceed-
ings under Division 4 of the Streets and Highways Code, for the
construction of improvements as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and by reference incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, the costs and expenses of said contemplated
improvements are to. be chargeable upon an assessment district,
the exterior boundaries of which are the coterminous exterior
boundaries of the composite and consolidated area shown on the
map thereof on file in the office of the City Clerk to which
reference is hereby made for further particulars; and
WHEREAS, the public interest and convenience will be
served by the taking of said proceedings.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY FOUND, DETERMINED AND
ORDERED that all of the owners of more than 60% in area of the
property subject to assessment for said proposed improvements
have filed with the City Clerk of this City a written petition
for the construction of

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 87-1
SOUTH JEeR(INS ROAD TO BUENA VESTA ROAD
SEWER PROJECT
The work and facilities proposed for construction pursuant to City of Bakersfield
("City") Special Assessment District Proceedings ("District") are generally
described as those certain sanitary sewage pipeline works, lift station, appliances
and appurtenant facilities generally referred to as the South Jenkins Road to Buena
Vista Road Sewer Project (the "Project"). The District is proposed to be formed
pursuant to Property Owner Petitions on file with the City Clerk, for the purpose
of financing the design and construction of the Project facilities in the following
described locations:
The construction and reconstruction of gravity sewer pipeline in Bocca Del Rio
Drive from Romero Avenue to South 3enkins Road, in Warrenton Avenue from South
Jenkins Road to Joelyle Street, in Joelyle Street from Warrenton Avenue to
Lynett Way, and in Lynett Way fr~m Joelyle Avenue to Allen Road, together with
house laterals, manholes, cleanouts, fittings, asphalt resurfacing of all
streets and appurtenances thereto.
The construction and installation of a sanitary sewer lift station complete
with all fittings and appurtenances thereto, in the vicinity of the Bocca Del
Rio Drive and Romero Avenue intersection as shown on Tract 4707.
The construction of a sanitary sewer pressure pipeline in easements along an as
yet to be determined pipeline route, to connect the proposed project lift
station described in Item 2 above to a point of discharge into the City's Buena
Vista Road Trunk Sewer.
The doing of all incidental work and payment of expenses therefor, as necessary
or convenient to accomplish any of the foregoing and making all acquisitions
auxiliary to any of the foregoing which may be necessary or convenient to
complete the same in accordance with the requirements of the City, the County
of Kern, any agency of the State of California or the Federal Government, any
special district of local government, or any regulated public utility company,
including but not limited to engineering design, construction inspection and
project administration, district formation and assessment engineering costs as
authorized by the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
The acquisition of all easements and rights of way, if any other than those
described above or already held by the City or dedicated to the City under
subdivision maps of record, required for the construction and installation of
said facilities, together with the construction and instaliation of all
improvements auxiliary to the above and necessary to complete the same.
