RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN
WATER CURRENT METER EQUIPMENT CAN BE
REASONABLY OBTAINED FROM ONLY ONE VENDOR
AND AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO
DISPENSE WITH BIDDING
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has determined, and has recom-
mended that this Counci! find, that water current meter equipment for
the Community Services department can be reasonably obtained from only
one vendor because the major basic components of the City's Canal Water
Measuring System are made up of Ott Manufactured equipment and has rec-
ommended that this Council authorize dispensing with bidding therefor
in accordance with Section 3.20.060 B. of the Bakersfield Municipal
Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
The Council hereby finds that water current meter equipment
for the Community Services Department can be reasonably obtained from
only one vendor, to wit: Epic, Inc. and authorizes the Finance Director
to dispense with bidding therefor and to negotiate the purchase of same
from such vendor.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on January 14, 1987 , by the follow-
ing roll 'call vote:
