A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A
14.48 FOOT PORTION OF DEDICATED VEHICULAR
ACCESS RIGHTS ON THE WESTSIDE OF ALLEN ROAD
AT THE NORTHWEST BOUNDARY OF THE CROSS
VALLEY CANAL IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of December, 1986, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law",
being Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its
Resolution of Intention No. 1016 declaring its intention to order
the vacation of a 14.48 foot portion of dedicated vehicular
access rights on the westside of Allen Road at the northwest
boundary of the Cross Valley Canal in the City of Bakersfield,
California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hear-
ing all persons interested :in or objecting to said proposed vaca-
tion, which said hearing was held on the 7th day of January,
1987, after notices were duly published and posted as required by
law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That a 14.48 foot portion of dedicated w~hicular
access rights on the westside of Allen Road at the northwest
boundary of the Cross Valley Canal in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California, more particularly described
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, is unne-
cessary for present or prospective public street purposes.
2. That a 14.48 foot portion of dedicated vehicular
access rights on the westside of Allen Road at the northwest
boundary of the Cross Valley Canal in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California, be and the same is hereby
closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes, sub-
ject to and in conformity with any reservations and exceptions
contained in and contemplated by said Resolution of Intention
No. 1016. Reference contemplated by said Resolution of Intention
is hereby made for further particulars.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on JanuarL~_1987

That 14.48~portion of the west right of way line of Allen Road in Section 2, T. 30 S.,
R. 26 E., M.D.B.&M., City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, more
particularly described a~ follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the west line of Allen
Road and the northwest right of way line of the Cross Valley Canal
as shown on Map of Tract No. 4445 Unit C recorded September 3,
1985 in Book 34 of Maps at Page 157 in the Office of the Kern
County Recorder;
THENCE north 00c'31'56TM east, on and along said west line of Allen
Road, 14.48 feet to the end point of this description.
