A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD DETERMINING THAT THE BIDDING
PROCESS BE DISPENSED WITH FOR THE AWARDING
OF A CONTRACT CONCERNING DAMAGE TO THE MAIN
ENTRANCE OF THE FIRE ADMINISTRATION OFFICE
AND AUTHORIZING AWARDING OF THE CONTRACT TO
GEN PAR CONSTRUCTION.
WHEREAS, on May 21, 1987, a vehicle caused damage to the
main entrance of the Fire Administration Office at 2101 "H" Street;
and
WHEREAS, there now exists an urgent necessity for the
preservation of property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
The Council hereby finds that:
l. An urgent necessity exists for the preservation of
property due to damage to the main entrance of the Fire
Administration Office at 2101 "H" Street, and the normal bidding
processes are hereby dispensed with; and
2. Gen Par Construction is hereby awarded the contract in
the amount of $7,993.00 to repair damage to the Fire Administration
Office.
