RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN COMMUNICATION RADIOS CAN
BE REASONABLY OBTAINED FROM ONLY ONE VENDOR AND
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO DISPENSE WITH
BIDDING.
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has determined, and
has recommended that this Counci~ find, that communication radios
for the Police, Fire, and Public Works Departments can be
reasonably obtained from only one vendor and has recommended that
this Council authorize dispensing with bidding in accordance with
Section 3.20.060 B. of the Bakersfield Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Counci~ of the
City of Bakersfield as fol|ows:
The Council hereby finds that communication radios
for the Police, Fire, and Public Works Departments can be
reasonably obtained from only one vendor, to wit: Motorola
Communications and authorizes the Finance Director to dispense with
bidding therefor and to negotiate the purchase of same from such
vendor.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on December 3, 1986
