A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF 26TH
STREET BETWEEN "M" STREET AND "N" STREET
IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 30th day of July, 1986, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law",
being Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its
Resolution of Intention No. 1012 declaring its intention to order
the vacation of 26th Street between "M" Street and "N" Street in
the City of Bakersfield, California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hear-
ing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vaca-
tion, which said hearing was held on the 27th day of August,
1986, after notices were duly published and posted as required by
law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That 26th Street between "M" Street and "N" Street
in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California,
more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
made a part hereof, is unnecessary for present or prospective
public street purposes.
2. That 26th Street between "M" Street and "N" Street
be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for
public street purposes, subject to reservation of an easement
over the entire area vacated for public utilities and emergency
vehicle access.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 27th day of August ,
1986, by the following vote:

EXHIBIT A
A parcel of land situated .in the Northwest quarter of Section 30, %ownship 29
South, Range 28 East, M.D.M., in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
of California, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the North right of way line of 26th Street (as
said street is described by deed recorded November 13, 1919, in Book 343, Page
274 of Official Records in the Office of the Kern County Recorder) and the East
right of way line of "M" Street;
Thence East along the North right of way line of 26th Street a distance of
264.00 feet to intersect the Northerly prolongation of the West right of way
line of "N" Street;
Thence South along said prolongation line a distance of 82.50 feet to a point on
the South right of way line of 26th Street;
Thence West along ~aid South right of way line a distance of 264.00 feet to a
point on the East right of way line of "M" Street;
Thence North along a prolongation of said "M" Street East right of way line a
distance of 82.50 feet to the True Point of Beginning.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM and reserving as an easement for public utilities, the
entire aforedescribed parcel.

access, the South twenty (20) feet of the North thirty-six (36) feet of the
aforedescribed parcel.
