A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
JUNE 3, 1986, SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION FOR
MEASURE "A", PACHECO NO. 10 ANNEXATION, AND
TERMINATING PROCEEDINGS.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
1.

The City Council does hereby find, determine, and
A. That pursuant to applicable law, a Special
Election was held on the 3rd day of June, 1986, in that
territory designated as City of Bakersfield Annexation No. 304
(Pacheco No. 10) for the purpose of determining whether the
annexation to the City of Bakersfield of said Pacheco No. 10
should be confirmed.
B. That said election was held and conducted in
conformity with all applicable provisions of law; and
C. That pursuant to direction of the city Council,
the County Clerk of the County of Kern has heretofore conducted a
canvass of the results thereof and has filed with said City
Council a certificate relating thereto which has been examined
and is hereby accepted by this City Council; and
D. That the City Council does hereby accept the
canvass of record of said election as certified by said County
Clerk and does hereby resolve, determine, and declare the results
of said Special Municipal Election as follows:

That the Statement of Election Results relating
to said Special Municipal Election is attached hereto as Exhibit
"A" and by this reference incorporated herein.
2. The City Council does hereby find, determine and
declare that the majority of the votes cast is against the annexa-
tion of said Pacheco No. 10, Annexation No. 304, and, therefore,
said proceedings for annexation are hereby terminated.
3. The City Council further finds that a certified copy
of this resolution shall be filed with the Local Agency Formation
Commission.

I, GALE S. ENSTAD, County Clerk-Recorder of the County of
Kern, State of California, do hereby certify that I have canvassed
the returns of the June 3, 1986 Primary Election held in the City
of Bakersfield for Measure "A", Pacheco Annexation, and that the
total number of ballots cast in said City and in each of the
respective precincts therein, are shown on the Statement of
Results attached hereto, and the totals as shown for and against
said Measure are full, true and correct.
