A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF THE
EAST END OF THE CITY-OWNED ALLEY IN BLOCK 32
OF KERN DIVISION IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of July, 1986, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law",
being Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its
Resolution of Intention No. 1008 declaring its intention to order
the vacation of the east end of the City-owned alley in Block 32
of Kern Division in the City of Bakersfield, California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hear-
ing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vaca-
tion, which said hearing was held on the 30th day of July,
1986, after notices were duly published and posted as required by
law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That the east end of the City-owned alley in
Block 32 of Kern Division in the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State of California, more particularly described in Exhibit
"A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, is unnecessary for
present or prospective public street purposes.
2. That the east end of the City-owned alley in
Block 32 of Kern Division be and the same is hereby closed up,
vacated and abandoned for public street purposes, subject to and
in conformity with any reservations and exceptions contained in
and contemplated by said Resolution of Intention No. 1008.
Reference contemplated by said Resolution of Intention is hereby
made for further particulars.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 30th day of ~uly ,

EXHIBIT "A"
A parcel of land situated in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 28, Township 29 South,
Range 28 East, M.D.M., State of California, County of Kern, City of Bakersfield
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the South right of way line of the
alley in Block 32 of the Kern Division of the City of Bakersfield and the
Northwesterly right of way line of Monterey Street;
Thence North 56°13'A4" West along said alley right of way line ~3.38 feet to a
point thereon where said alley is 20.00 feet in width;
Thence South 73"42'51" East, parallel with and 20.00 feet South (as measured on
a pe_--pendicuiar) of :he )~or~h right of way of sail alley, a distance of 9~.71
feet;.
Thence South 47"30'00" West a distance of 29.29 feet ~¢ the point of begin=lug.
