A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD SETTING APPLICATION FEES FOR
SEISMIC SURVEY ACTIVITY PERMITS UNDER CHAPTER
5.58 OF THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE.
WHEREAS, Section 5.58.040 of the Bakersfield Municipal
Code requires that a fee as set by City Council resolution be
paid upon the filing of each application for a permit for seismic
survey activity; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Manager has recommended that
such fee be sufficient to reimburse the City its costs in
inspecting infrastructure along each proposed route, both before
and after the seismic survey activity is conducted; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Manager has recommended to the
City Council that such a fee in the amount of THREE HUNDRED DOL-
LARS ($300.00), plus ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) per mile to
reimburse the City its costs in performing such inspections and
in processing each such application, and that such fee be a
minimum fee with any actual costs that exceed such fee to be paid
by the applicant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
The minimum fee to be paid with each application for a
seismic survey activity permit is THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS
($300.00), plus ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) per mile. In
addition, the applicant shall be liable for additional actual
costs that exceed the minimum fee paid at the time of
application. Such actual costs shall be paid by the applicant
within thirty (30) days after billing by the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
