L~'i5 TAD COUNTY CLERK-R£C08DE,~ RESOLUTION NO. 7-86 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF GULF STREET BETWEEN PIERCE ROAD AND STATE ROUTE 99 IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. WHEREAS, on the 11th day of December, 1985, the Council of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law", being Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 995 declaring its intention to order the vacation of a portion of Gulf Street between Pierce Road and State Route 99 in the City of Bakersfield, California; and WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hear- ing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vaca- 1986, tion, which said hearing was held on the 8th day of January, after notices were duly published and posted as required by and law; WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter, does hereby find and resolve as follows: 1. That a portion of Gulf Street between Pierce Road and State Route 99 in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, is unnecessary for pre- sent or prospective public street purposes. 2. That a portion of Gulf Street between Pierce Road and State Route 99 be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes, subject to and in con- formity with any reservations and exceptions contained in and contemplated by said Resolution of Intention No. 995. Reference contemplated by said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for further particulars. oo 5999 ,613 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California. .......... o0o .......... Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on the 8th day of January, 1986. onfileinthis office andthatlhavecomparedthe same withthe original. 29th April 19 87 WITNESS my hand and sealthis day of CAROL WILLIAMS, City Clerk By oo 5999 615 EXHIBIT "A" A parcel of land situated in the City of Bakersfie]d, County of Kern, State of California, being a portion of Section 23, T.29S., R.27E., M.D.B.&M. and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the south right of way of Gulf Street at the northeat corner of Lot 94 of T- ~ , .,a~. 1001 recorded September 26, 1930, in Book 4 of Maps at page 27 in the Office of the Kern County Recorder; Thence N.89°4!'W. along said south right of way 45.46 feet more or less to a point on tBe east right of way line of State Route 99, said point being the True Point of Beginning; Thence northerly along said highway right of way 60.00 feet to the north right of way line of Gulf Street; Thence S.89°41'E., 253.32 feet more or less along said north right of way line to the tangent point on the south line of lot 7 of said Tract 1001 where a 20 foot radius lot line curve begins, concave to the northwest; Thence continuing S.89°41'E., along a prolongation of said north right of way line, 20.00 feet to the beginning of a 20 foot radius curve concave to the northwest; Thence northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 90~17', an arc distance of 31.51 feet to a point on a line parallel with and 20.00 feet east of lots 6 and 7 of said Tract 100!; Thence S.00°02'W., along said parallel line 100.00 feet to beginning of a 20 foot radius curve concave to the south- west; Thence northwesterly along said curve through a central angle of 89~43', an are distance of 31.32 feet to a poin= on the easterly prolonga- tion of the south right of way line of Gulf Street; Thence N.89°41'W.~ along said south right of way line and prolongation thereof, 273.06 feet more or less to the Tr~e Point of Beginning. EXCEPTING AND RESERVING THEREFROM THE ABOVE DESCRIBED PARCEL AS EASEMENTS FOR PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES: The north 15.00 feet and the east 6.00 feet of said parcel.
