A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A
PORTION OF 29TH STREET AND JAMES STREET
BETWEEN "M" STREET AND "0" STREET IN THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 5th day of March, 1986, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law",
being Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its
Resolution of Intention No. 1000 declaring its intention to order
the vacation of a portion of
"M" Street and "0" Street in
and
29th Street and James Street between
the City of Bakersfield, California;
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hear-
ing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vaca-
tion, which said hearing was held on the 16th day of April, 1986,
after notices were duly published and posted as required by
law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That a portion of 29th Street and James Street bet-
ween "M" Street and "O" Street in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California, more particularly described
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, is unne-
cessary for present or prospective public street purposes.
2. That a portion of 29th Street and James Street bet-
ween "M" Street and "0" Street in the City of Bakersfield, be and
the same is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public
street purposes, subject to and in conformity with any reserva-
tions and exceptions contained in and contemplated by said
Resolution of Intention No. 1000. Reference contemplated by said
Resolution of Intention is hereby made for further particulars.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day of April ,

60 feet in width, extending couuiguously between the northerly extention of
west line of Block 530 of the Map of the City of Bakersfield filed :lovember
25th, ]898, in Book 1 of maps at pages 13 and 14 in the Office of the Kern
County Recorder and bounded at the east by a line beginning at the intersection
of the west right of way line of "O" Street the southwesterly right of way line.
of James Street and extending to the northeasterly right of way line of James
Street being perpendicular with said James Streat right of way lines.
EXCEPTING AND RESERVING THEREFROM the above described Parcel, ss an easement for
public utilities purposes, all of that portion d(!signated as 29th Street and the
southwesterly 30 feet of James Street.
ALSO EXCEPTING AND I~SERVING THEREFROM the above described parcel, as an ease-
men~ for emergency fire protection access, the south 30 feet of 29th Street and
the southwesterly 30 feet of James Street
