A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD SUPPORTING A STUDY BY KERN COUNTY
COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS TO DETERMINE THE NEED
FOR EMERGENCY ROADSIDE CALL BOXES.
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 1199 would authorize the establish-
ment of a public service authority for the purpose of providing
roadside call boxes and related services; and
WHEREAS, the Kern County Council of Governments is in a
position to study the necessity of roadside call boxes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council agrees that a study by the
Kern County Council of Governments of the problem within Kern
County would be appropriate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield that the Council supports a study by the Kern
County Council of Governments to determine the necessity of road-
side call boxes and related services in the County of Kern.
