NOTICE OF SALE

This letter is to notify you that the Holiday-InnSelectsBakersfield Hotel and Conference
Center located at 801 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California 93301 (hereinafter referred to.
as the "Hotel") was sold on August 19th, 2004. .
Effective August 19th, 2004, the Hotel will be owned by Newport Hospitality Group and
operated by Brighton Management. John Q. Hammons Hotels Two, L.P., John Q.
Hammons Hotels, L.·P., and John Q. Hammons Hotels, Inc. will no longer be manager or
authorized agent of the Hotel.
All invoices for goods and services furnished prior to August 19th, 2004, should be sent to:

Hotel and Conference Center
