NEW BUSINESS
Public headng on Resolution of Necessity to determine
whether the public interest and necessity require acquisition
by eminent domain of property located at 1400 Q Street,
Bakersfield, California, for the City Place Redevelopment
Project. (Code Civ. Proc. § 1245.230) (Ward 2)
Three items of correspondence were received after the
agenda was posted from Dave Cross, on Behalf of H.W.
Lakeshore Pines Joint Venture, opposing the staff
recommendation and requesting opportunity to speak at the
headng.
Economic and Community Development Director Kunz
made staff comments.
Hearing opened at 4:13 p.m.
Dave Cross, on behalf of H.W. Lakeshore Pines Joint
Venture, Michael Rosenberg, President of Bakersfield
Development, LLC, and David Trestin, Bakersfield
Development, LLC, spoke in opposition to the staff
recommendation.
Donna Kunz, Economic and Community Development
Director and Charles Webb, Development Associate spoke
in favor of the staff recommendation.
Michael Rosen spoke in rebuttal opposition to the staff
recommendation.
Hearing closed at 4:39 p.m.

Resolution of Necessity.
