RESOLUTION NO: 152-~5
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD CONFIRMING THE
CASA LOMA EMPLOYMENT AND ECONOMIC
INCENTIVE PROGRAM - ECONOMIC DEVELOP-
MENT STRATEGY
WHEREAS, legislation has been passed providing for designa-
tion of a geographic area where certain tax and other incentives will
be available for private investments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bakersfield is
desirous of jointly submitting an application with the County of Kern
for such designation under the Employment and Economic Incentive act;
and
WHEREAS, an area of the City and County has been studied and
determined appropriate for such designation; and
WHEREAS, the submission of a preliminary application to the
State resulted in an invitation to submit a full and final applica-
tion; and
WHEREAS, such final application must include an Economic
Development Strategy; and
WHEREAS, such a strategy was prepared and reviewed at a duly
advertised public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the appropriate changes resulting from citizen input
have been made.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
The City Council confirms the Economic Development Strategy
prepared in conformance with State guidelines and instructs the
responsible staff to include this strategy in the joint City/County
application for designation.

I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 16th day of October 1985, by the following
vote:
