A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF TBE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ACCEPTING A CALIFORNIA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION INTERMODAL
FACILITY PLANNING GRANT.
WItEREAS, the Kern Council of Governments (Kern
COG), and the City of Bakersfield, submitted a Transportation
Planning and Development Grant Application for funding of the
final planning concerning the development of a multimodal inter-
city terminal; and
WHEREAS: the California Transportation Conm~ission
has nominated Kern COG/City of Bakersfield's grant application
for funding; and
WHEREAS, tile City of Bakersfield has conunitted to
matching the above $50,000 grant with $25,000 in local in-kind
costs so as to comply with the Transportation Planning and Develop-
ment Grant Application which requires a total of fifty percent
local matching monies.
WHEREAS, Kern COG is prepared to match the $50,000
Transportation Planning and Development Grant with $25,000 in local
matching funds, as outlined on page two of Kern COG/City of
Bakersfield's grant application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT ~ty of Bakersfield
does hereby accept the $50,000 from the Department of Transporta-
tion Planning and Development Account for the purpose of conducting
the final planhing on a multimodal intercity terminal in metropolitan
Bakersfield.
I HEREBY CE~<TIF~ that the foregoing Re. solution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 14th day of August, 1985,
by the following vote:
