A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE TERRITORY DESIGNATED
AS PROCEEDING NO. 869, ANNEXATION NO. 297
(BUENA VISTA NO. 2), ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, Resolution of Application No. 17-85, dated
February 13, 1985, was submitted to the Local Agency Formation
Commission of Kern County ("Commission") for the annexation of
territory to the City of Bakersfield designated as Proceeding
No. 869, Annexation No. 297 (BUENA VISTA NO. 2); and
WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing upon said pro-
posal was held before the Commission on the 11th day of June,
1985; and
WHEREAS,
on June 11, 1985,
following said public hearing, the Commission,
adopted its Resolution Making Determination,
being Resolution No. 85-26, recorded in Minute Book 31 of said
Commission, approving the proposed annexation without notice and
hearing and without an election, pursuant to Section 35151 of the
California Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the territory annexed is uninhabited and all
owners of the land within such territory have given written consent
to annexation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED by the
Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That the said territory designated as Proceeding
No. 869, Annexation No. 297 (BUENA VISTA NO. 2), and described
herein, and every part thereof, is hereby ordered annexed to the
City of Bakersfield.
2. The description of the exterior boundaries of the
territory annexed is contained in Exhibit "A", attached hereto
and incorporated in this Resolution as though fully set forth
herein.
3. That the Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified
copy of this resolution ordering a change of organization, along
with any required remittance to cover the fees required by
Section 54902.5 of the Government Code, to the executive officer
of the Local Agency Formation Commission of Kern County.
4. That the executive officer of the Commission is
hereby requested to prepare and execute a certificate of comple-
tion and make the filings required by Chapter 4 of the Municipal
Organization Act of 1977 and record a certified copy of the cer-
tification of completion with the recorder of Kern County, with
the surveyor of Kern County and with the Clerk of the City of
Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 10th day of July ,

BUENA VISTA NO. 2
A parcel of land situated ill tile County of Kern, State of California, being
a portion of Section 1, Township 30 South, Range 26 East, M.D.B. & M., more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the northeast corner of said Section 1; thence South 00°50'50"
West along the east line of said Section I a distance of 1912.32 feet; thence
North 89°09'10" West a distance of 30 feet to a point on tile West right-of-way
line of Buena Vista Road, said point being a point on a nontangent curve concave
to the northeast which bears South 23°35'25" West a radial distance of 2055 feet
from tile radial point of said curve, said point also being a point on the Existing
Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield, and the Point of Beginning for tbis
description;
Thence (l) Departiag from the last nanled Corporate Boundary westerly along tile
last named curve through a central angle of 15°49'15", an arc length of 567.44
feet;
Thence (2) North 50°34'23" West a distance of 627.79 feet to a point which lies
76.33 feet southerly of the northerly terminus of the course designated as
South 40052'48" West, 487.79 feet of Parcel 1 of that certain quitclaim to
the City of Bakersfield recorded June 6, 1977, in Book 5032 at page 456 of
Official Records in the Office of the Kern County Recorder, said point being
a point on the Existing Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield;
Thence (3) Northerly, easterly and southerly along the last named Corporate
Boundary to tile Point of Beginning.
