A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD DIRECTING THE FILING OF AN
APPLICATION FOR CALIFORNIA AIRPORT LOAN.
WI~EREAS, the City has filed an application with the
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for a grant for the
purchase of Bakersfield Airpark; and
WHEREAS, upon acceptance of the grant from the Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA), the city intends to acquire and
operate the Bakersfield Airpark; and
WREREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will
provide a grant for 90 percent of the eligible acquisition costs;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield is in need for a loan
for the additional acquisition costs; and
WHEREAS, the State has established a program
administered by the State Department of Transportation, Division
of Aeronautics, to provide a matching funds loan program.
NOW, TREREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
city of Bakersfield as follows:
That the city Manager is authorized and directed to
file a Matching Funds Loan Application with the State of
California Department of Transportation, Division of Aeronautics,
for funds for the acquisition of Bakersfield Airpark.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the city of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 15th day of M~y ,
