RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDED BOUNDARY MAP
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 97-1
SPRING MEADOWS II/STOCKDALE HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL)
WHEREAS, by its Resolution No. 101-97, adopted on June
25, 1997, this City Council has previously approved the boundary
map entitled "Proposed Boundaries of City of Bakersfield
Assessment District No. 97-1 (Spring Meadows II/Stockdale Highway
Commercial)" (the "Boundary Map"), and the Boundary Map was
thereafter recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the
County of Kern; and
WHEREAS, Castle & Cooke Commercial-CA, Inc. (the
"Developer"), as owner and developer of that portion of the
property within the boundary of this proposed assessment district
(the "Assessment District") known as the "Stockdale Highway
Commercial area" has requested that the City delete said portion
and the improvement work related thereto from the Assessment
District; and
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk an amended
boundary map entitled "Amendment to Proposed Boundaries of City
of Bakersfield Assessment District No. 97-1 (Spring Meadows
II/Stockdale Highway Commercial), County of Kern, State of
California (Boundary Amendment No. 1)" (the "Amended Boundary
Map"), which revised the proposed boundaries of the Assessment
District in accordance with the wishes of the Developer to
exclude the Stockdale Highway Commercial area;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL HEREBY FINDS,
DETERMINES AND RESOLVES as follows:
1. This Council approves the Amended Boundary Map and
adopts the boundaries shown on the Amended Boundary Map as
describing the extent of the territory included in a proposed
assessment district to be known as the City of Bakersfield
Assessment District No. 97-1 (Spring Meadows II/Stockdale Highway
Commercial), County of Kern, State of California.
2. This Council hereby finds and determines that the
Amended Boundary Map contains the matters prescribed by Section
3110 of the California Streets and Highways Code.
3. This Council directs the City Clerk to certify the
adoption of this resolution on the face of the Amended Boundary
Map and to file a copy of thereof with the County Recorder of the
County of Kern for placement in the Book of Maps of Assessment
and Community Facilities Districts.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a

regular meeting thereof held on January 28, 1998, by the
following vote:
