A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD SETTING FEES FOR ISSUANCE AND RENEWAL
OF PERMITS TO OPERATE UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK OR
FACILITY AND FOR RELATED SERVICES OF THE HEALTH
OFFICER.
WHEREAS, the City Council on February 20, 1985, adopted
Ordinance No. 2966 New Series, effective March 20, 1985, enacting
Chapter 8.60 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code, adopting by ref-
erence, with amendments, the Kern County ordinance specifying
regulations governing underground storage tanks containing haz-
ardous materials; and
WHEREAS, Section 8.60.030 of the Bakersfield Municipal
Code so adopted provides that the Council may, by resolution,
from time to time prescribe fees for the issuance and renewal of
permits to operate such underground storage tanks and facilities;
and
WHEREAS, the Health Officer is assigned related respon-

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. The Health Officer as the Permitting Authority shall
collect the following fees for the following services, which fees
constitute reasonable reimbursement of his costs in providing
such services:

Additional tanks ............. $ 20 each
b. Underqround Storaqe Tank/Facility Plan Check
(review of plans and on-site construction
inspection for storage tanks proposed to contain
hazardous materials underground)..$100
c. Extended Services and Services Not Specifically
Described (reinspections, compliance hearings,
and any other service performed by personnel of
the County Division of Environmental Health not
specifically described above; payments due
delinquent if not paid within thirty (30) days
of mailing of! invoice) ............ $ 35 per hour
Permits shall be valid for a period of five years from date of
issuance. Annual fee shall be due and payable on the anniver-
sary date of the first issuance of the permit, shall be delin-
quent if not paid prior to the 31st day after such anniversary
date, and permittee shall pay a penalty of $50 if annual fee
not paid prior to such delinquency date.
