ROLL CALL 1. BOARD MEMBERS: Present: JACK LA ROCHELLE, Chairperson GEORGE GONZALES PHIL BURNS STAFF MEMBERS: Present: JIM EGGERT, Principal Planner ISABEL WILLIAMS, Recording Secretary GEORGE GILLBURG, ENGINEER II The Chairperson read the Notice of Right to appeal as set forth on the agenda. PUBLIC STATEMENTS 2. None. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING 3. Motion was made by Member Gonzales to approve minutes of the meeting held Motion carried. PUBLIC HEARING - D. R. HORTON LOS ANGELES HOLDING CO., INC., HAS 4.A.1. REQUESTED A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW TWO 1,440 SQ. FT. SALES FACILITIES FOR A 2-YEAR PERIOD OF TIME FOR TRACT 6406 IN AN R-1 (ONE FAMILY DWELLING) ZONE DISTRICT. Staff report was given. Public hearing was opened. There was no one present to speak either in favor or opposition. Public hearing was closed. Member Burns informed the other Board members and Planning staff, Jim Eggert that Condition one should read, "California Building Code", not Uniform Building Code. Motion was made by Member Gonzales to adopt the resolution with all findings and conditions, approving Conditional Use Permit #05-1740 as depicted in the project description with the change to Condition 1, as noted above. Motion carried by the following roll call vote: AYES: Burns, Gonzales, LaRochelle Minutes, BZA, 2/14/06 Page 2 FILE NO. 06-0072 -- CASTLE & COOKE C/O MCINTOSH & ASSOCIATES HAS 4.A.2. REQUESTED A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A ONE-YEAR EXTENSION OF TIME FOR AN APPROVED CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT #03-1359) THAT ALLOWED A TEMPORARY SALES TRAILER AND TEMPORARY PARKING LOT IN AN R-1 (ONE FAMILY DWELLING) ZONE DISTRICT LOCATED AT 10204 AND 10302 HINDERHILL DRIVE. Staff report was given. Public hearing was opened. There was no one present to speak either in favor or opposition. Public hearing was closed. Motion was made by Member Burns to adopt the resolution with all findings and conditions, approving Conditional Use Permit No. 06-0072 as depicted in the project description. Motion carried by the following roll call vote: AYES: Burns, Gonzales, LaRochelle COMMUNICATIONS 5. Staff planner, Jim Eggert informed Board members that the project on Auburn Street that was heard at the December meeting was appealed. He noted that the City Council upheld the Board's approval but reinstated the condition requiring a block wall along Auburn Oaks Drive. BOARD COMMENTS 6. A. Election of Chairman for 2006 - Member Burns nominated Member Gonzales. Motion carried. ADJOURNMENT 7.
