EPEALING 0'EINANCES NOS. 58 and '3~, OF TitE CI~~ OF
B~ERSFIELD.
BE IT OFdDAINED BY THE " COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEKERSFIELD,
as follows:
SECTION 1 It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation
to carry on., conduct or maintain any plumbing establishment or
plumbing bu. siness wit'hin the City of Bakersfield, without first
obtaini~ a permit from the Council of said City to so do.
SECTION 2. Application for a permit to carry on a pl~nbi:qg business
.or pl,lmbin.~: establishnient as provided in Section i hereof must
state the r.m~ne or names of the person, finn or corporation who
will carry on, conduct .and maintain said. plumbing business or pl,~nb-
ing establishment; 'the location of same and ·must further state
whether all plumbing and drainsge work, or"any portion thereof,
shall be personally installed by said applicant, or whether same-
shall be installed by' jqurneymen .plumbers em':oloyed by or working.
under .the direction of said applicant, or bV both said applicmnt'

SECTION 3. Application for said permit must be ~ccompanied by a
Bond runni~F-., to the City of Bakersfield, in the s~m of ~~

executed by two or more persons or by any Surety Cornpray authorized

SECTION 4. It shall be unlaWf,ll for any master pl,imber or journeyman

portion thereof unless said master plumber or journeyrnmq plumb'e~..'..' ....

and all Acts supplemental thereto and amendatory thereof.
SECTION 6. Ordinance No, .~8 of. the City of Bajersfield, requiring
plumbers to re~ister.!and furnish bonds and 'prOviding a pemalty for vio-
lation of same, and. Ordinance No. 344, amending Ordinance No. ~8, and.
all other ordinancances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
· are 'hereby'repealed.
