AN ORDINANCE CHANGING A~rD RE-EST~BLISHING THE OFFICIAL
CURB GRADE OF UNION AVENUE AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH TWENTIETH
STREET, IN THE ·CITY OF B~J{ERSFIELD.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE, COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF B~XERSFIELD,
as follows:
SECTION 1.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield. did on the
26th day of January, 1920, by Resolution of Intention No~ ·370, declare
its intention to cha~-e and re-establish the official curb grade ~n
Union Avenue, at the intersection of the ~/est line of Union Avenue.
with north line o.f Twentieth Street from 99.0 feet above the datum.
plane for. tihe grades of the City of Bakersfield as fixed by Ordinance
No. 18, of said City, to 100.50 feet above said datum plane; and

FIELD CALIFORNIAN, for two successive insertions in said newspaper,
and to post the s~n.e for two days, consecutively, on or near the Cham~
ber door of said Council; stud

posted for two days describing the proposed change of grad·e;. and
~]~]~]EAS, the Street Superintendent duly published and posted
Notices of 'bhe passague of said Resolution of Intention No. 3~0, in the
manner, form and time as reqtfired by law; and
WH]EREAS, no protests were filed s~s, inst said chsn.ge of. grade;
NOW, TEI~FORE, it is hereby ordered that the grade of Union
Avenue Z~. the intersection of the west line o.f Union Avenue with nortt~ ..'
line of Twentieth' Street be' and the same is hereby changed to and esta'b=
lished from 99-0 feet above the datum plane for the grades of the City
of Bakersfield, as fixed by Ordin--mnce No. 18, of said City, to 100.50
feet above said datum plane; and
I EREBY CERTIFY THAT the foregoing Ordinance was 'passed and .
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, .on the F~day of
Narch, 1920.
