SECTION 1. "-
That, from and after the first day of April, 1920, each
officer and employee of the City of Bakersfield, hereinafter nsu~.ed,
shall receive and be paid. out of the treasury of the City of Bakers-
field, as and in full compensation for performiR~ the duties of the
office, offices or employment to which he or' she is or may be appoin.te
or employed., and such duties as may be hereafter petscrib·d, the
amount set cpposite the respective office, offices or employment, as

Ordinance No. 5 New Series, fixinf~ the compensation of cer-
tain officers and employees of the City of Bakersfield, and. all ordi-

with are hereby repealed.
