THEREFOR.
BE IT 0RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF B~KERSFIELD,
as followsi':
SECTION 1.
It shall be unlawful for any person.to park or leave any
vehicle in, on and. upon that portion of any of the public streets
within the corporate limits of the City of Bakersfield in front of any
curb marked as hereinafter provided.,
SECTION 2,
The exterior limits of that portion of each and every
public street 'within the corporate limits of the City of Bakers field.
in, on or upon which the parking.. of vehicles now is or-may hereafter
be prohibited by ordinance shall be marked by a verticle line at '.
least six inches in width painted with red paint, 'upon the outer
face of the curb, and between the said. lines there shall be painted.'
with red paint, on the outer face of said curb, in letters not less
than six inches in height .the followingS: "NO PARKING HERE, 0rd, No,

8ECTION 3,
The marking of curbs as required by section 2 hereof
shall be done under the supervision. of the Chief of Police of the City
of Bakersfield and it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or cor-
poration to in any manner mark s~qy sidewalk, curb or street to indi-
cate that parking is not allowed, save and except where parking is
prohibited by ordinance and save -and. except where such marking is done
as prov. ided by section 2 hereof and under the supervision,'of the
Chief of Police.
It shall be unlawful .for any' person, firm or corporation
to park my vehicle on that portion of any publiS street within the'
corporate limits of the City of Bakersfield within fifteen feet on
either side of the center line of the main entrance to any hotel
containing fifty or more rooms and. said portions of said streets shall
be marked a,~' hereinabove provided.
SECTION 5.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this
ordinance sh~l be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction there-
for shall be punisha~ole' by a fine not exceeding ·Three Hundred Dollars
($300.00) dollars or by imprisonment in the County Jail of the County
of Kern not exceeding one hundred and fifty (150) days or by both
such fine gad in~prisonment.
