AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE MOVING,· CARRYING, HAUL-
ING OR TR~JqSPORTIN~"0F SAWDUST DIRT '.SAND.'.. GRAVEL
ROCK OR OTHER LOOSE SUBSTANCES'0N ALONG 0i~ OVER T~.E ·
STREETS 0F THE CITY 0F BAKERSFIELf] MAKING A VIOLA-
TION HEREOF A MISDEMEANOR AND PR0V~DING A PENALTY
THEREFOR.
as follows:
SECTION 1.
BE IT 0RDD~IED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation,
to move, carry, haul or transport or to cause to be moved, carried,
hauled or transported any sawdust~ dirt, sand, ~ravel, rock or other
loose substsmce on, along or over any street within the corporate
limits of the City of Bakersfield save and except under the conditions
hereinaf~er set forth. ., ':
All boxes, carts, wagons, trucks, drays, vehicles or otnerC.!.f
receptacles used in'moving, carrying, haulin~g or transporting any ....
sawdust, dixt, sand., gravel, rock or other loose 'substance on, along'. .:.
or over any street within the corporate limits 'of the City of Bakers-'
fibld shall be so constructed as to be sufficiently tight and strong
to prevent any siftings, leaking or spilling therefrom, and. no sawdust,
dirt, sand, gravel, rock or other lose substance shall be moved,
carried, hauled or transported on, along or over any of said streets

SECTION 4.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordi-'
nance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction therefor''
sh~l be punishable by a fine not exceeding three hundred ($S00.00).
