That Ordinance No. 55 New Series, entitled "AN 0RDIN~.NCE
REGIIfiATING AND IMPOSING MUNICIPAL LICENSES; PRESCRIBING HOW AND BY

DEMDnNOR AND PRESCRIBING A PENALTY THEEFOR, AND REPEl. LING ORDIN~'CES
NOS. S6, ~8, 40,' and 41 NEW SERIES," be and the same is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new section to be nambered 2Sa, as follows:
SECTION 2Ba.
For each and every slot machine, card machine, contrivence,
appliance or mechanical device which pays any coin, sl~g or other
representative of valne, excepting sach slot or card. machines, contri-
vences, appliances or mechanical devices as are prohibited by Section
~Oa of the Penal Code of the 'Stat.'e of California, the s~m of two'.'
dollars and. fifty cents ($2.50) p~r day.
