SECTION '1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF B~XERSFIELD,
There shall be and there is h~'reby established two fire
limits districts within the City of .Bakersfield to be known and
designated as Fire Limits District Number 1 and Fire .Limits· Di~'triCt~
Number 2.
SECTION 2.
The exterior boundaries of the territory comprising~.. Fire
Limits District'Number 1, are hereby established, designated 'and
fixed as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southerly line of :' 20tH, -.
Street at the northeast corner .of Block 226 in the City of Bakersfield
as shown on the map .of said City filed for record in.the Office of the
County Recorder, of Kern county, November 25, 1898; thence westerly
along the southerly line of 20th Street to the westerly line of N
Street, thence northerly along said westerly line of N Street to the
southerly line of 23rd Street, thence Westerly along said southerly
line of said 23rd Street to the westerly line of the First alley ·east
of Chester Avenue, thence northerly along said westerly line of said

The exterior boundaries of the territory comprising Fire
Limits District Number 2, are hereby established, designated and fixed
as follows:
Beginning at a point in the westerly line of King Street
at its intersection with the first alley soutn oT Grove Street in that
part of the 0ity of Bakersfield formerly called Kern, as the same
appears on the map of Kern filed in the office of the 0ounty Recorder,
of Kern County, April 10, 1893; thence northerly alon~ said· westerly
line of King Street to the southerly line of Jackson Street thence

All ordinances, and resolutions of the City of Bakers-
field. heretofore or hereafter adopted, providing for any restrictions,
prohibitions or regulations of bailding or 'structures within fire
limits, or within the fire limits of the City of Bakersfield, snail
be governed by the territories herOin designated and fixed as fire·
limits.
SECTION 5.
Ordinmice No. ll New Series of the City of Bakersfield,
entitled "AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND ESTABLISHING FIRE~ LIMITS WITHIN THE
CITY OF D~ERSFIELD AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLIOT HEREWITH,"
be and. t~e same is hereby repealed.
