BE IT ORDAINES BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, '.
as.follows:
WHEREAS, the immediate preservation Of'the public safety,
peace.and property, requires the passage of an emergency ordinance
rela~ing to the wearing of maskes, hoods,. false whiskers, false
mustaches or any disguises whether complete or 'partial within
the corporate limits of the City of Bakersfield.
NOW THEREFOHE BE IT 0RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL 0 F THE. CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD, as follows:
SECTION· 1.
It shall be unlawful for any person to wear. any mask,
hood, false whiskers, false mu'atache, or any personal disguise,
whether complete or partial within the corporate limits of the City
of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California.
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall not prohibit the wearing of such
disguise in a public or private ball room while in such room or on any
stage of a public theater or entertainment house during the actual produc.

SECTION 3.

Any person or persons violating any of the provisions
of this Ordinance shall be dee~ed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not less than two

SECTION 4.
This.Ordinance is designed for' the immediate preservation o'~
public safety,.peace and property and is hereby declared to be an
emergency measure, and shall be in full force and effect immediately.
