AN ~RDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF
ORDINANCE NO. 122 NEW SERIES OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
SECTION 1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
as follows:
That section 3 of Ordinance No. 122 New Series entitled
"An Ordin~mce regulating travel and ~raffic upon a~d %he use of
the public streets of the City of Bakersfield; providing a
penalty for violation thereof and repe~ling Ordinances Nos. 354,
390, Ordinance No. 24 New Series, Ordinance No. 44 New Series and
Ordinance No. 50 New Series, and all ordinances and parts of
ordinances, in conflict herewith," of'the City of Bakersfield,
be and them same is hereby amended to read as follows:
DISTANCE FROM CURB.
SECTION 3.
Within the business district of the City of
Bakersfield, as defined in Section 1 of Ordinance No. 122 New
Series, it shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle to stop
the same or cause the same to be stopped except that the right 'f
front portion thereof shall be at or as near the curb as possible
and the right side thereof shall stand at as near an angle of
forty-two degrees ~'42°) with the line of the curb as possible;
pr~ovided~ however, that on l~th Street between F and N Streets
and on Baker Street between East l~th Street and Lake Streets

and on any street other than Chester Avenue in the business dis-
trict upon which. there are street car tracks it shall be unlawful
for the driver of any vehicle to stop the ssm~ or cause the
same to be stopped or pa~ked otherwise than with the right hand
side of such vehicle parallel to and as near the curb as possible.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, on the
