AN ORD~qANCE CREATING A PUBLIC-CHARITY
FUND AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY· AUDITOR
"TO DRAW WARRANTS THEREON UPON THE WRIT-
TEN ORDER OF THE PUBLIC CHARITY CO~iIS-
SIONER AND THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF
BAKERS~IELD.
WHEREAS the immediate preservation of the. public
health and Safety and the daily operation· of the ·F-~ic Charity De-
p~rtm..en~ requires the passage of an emergency ordinance appro-
priating ~he sum 'of five hundred. dollars ($500.00)·to the
Public Charity Department;
'NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED By THE CITY' COUNCIL OF'
THE CITY OF BAKERSFI~LD, as follows:
SECTION. 1.
SECTION 2.
That there is hereby created a..specia! fund of five
hundred ($800.00) dollars to be known as the Public Charity
Fund and the auditor of the City ofBakersfield is hereby
authorized and instructed to tran~fer~.··said sum from the
General Fund into said special fund and ~o..issue warrants
against the said fund on the.-order of the Public Char~y
~Commissioner approv~d·by the. City ~anager of said City.
This ordinance is designed for the immediate pre-
servation of ~he public ~ealth .and safety..and for the daily
operation of the Public'Charity Department of this City in·
that it' provides a method for the department of Public-Charity
'to furnish relief for immediate wan~ and distress, and is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure·, and shall be in
full force and 'effect immediately upon its~'passa~e.
I HEREBY CERTIFY· that the foregoing ~rdinance was
