185 NEW SERIES OF THE CITY OF.., ~
BAKERSFIELD BY ADDING A NEW SEC*ION
TEETO, TO BE KNO.~I~. AS SECTION 9.
--!--.~!~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
as follows:
SECTION
That Ordinance No. 183 New ·Series of.the· City of Bakers-
field establishin~ a residence district and prohibiting. certain
factories, works and businesses from being es.ta.blished, maintained
..~' or carried on 'in .such district, be amen, d~'~=b~.. ad.d~ng a new section
thereto, to be known as Section 9, to read as follows:
SECTION
The provisions of Ordinance No. 183 New Series shall not
apply'to or be bindinE upon any person, firm or corporation who
shall obtain· a permit from the City Manager of,; the City of Baker~
· -:field for conducting or carrying on any of the .businesses mentioned
· '~'~in this ordinance, and a permit shall be granted by the' City
Manager o~ly upon an application therefore being filed with him,
which application shall state the name of the applicant, the
location of the'business and the kind or nature· of business
intended to be conducted or carried on at such place, and said
appli'cation shall be accompanied with the writ~een consent, signed
by a majority of· the property owners owning property within a
distance'of five hundred (500) feet in all directions surrounding
the lot or'pl~ce. where it is proposed that s~ch business is to
be located, condu~.~d and carried· on and unless the application
has such consent the permit shall not be granted.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
.passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield,
