AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF
ORDINANCE NO. 206 NEW SERIES OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
~EREAS, the i.mmediate preservation of health and
safety of the inhabitants of the City of BaRsrsfield reguire the
passage of an ordinance appointing a Milk'Inspector for the
purpose of inspecting all milk, butter milk and'cream offered
for sale, distributed or had in possession for sale or distribu-
tion.
SECTION 1.
NOW THEEFOE BE IT 0RDAiNED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY .OF BAKERSFIELD, as follo~vs:
That section 5 of Ordinance No. 20~..New Serie~"Of 'the City
of Bakersfield be amended to'read as follows:
SECTION 5.
Said Milk Inspector shall be appointed by the
Health· Off ~er of the City of Bakersfield with the consent of
the City Manager and shall hold office at the pleasure.of
said Health Officer, and shall be fully conversant and familia~~
with the laws of the State of California relative to the inspection
of milk and shall have such qualifieations as may be requireS.
by the said Department of Agriculture of the State of California.
SECTION 2.'
This Ordinance is designed for the immediate
preservation of the public health and safety and is h~reby
