AN ORDINANCE ALTERING THE FORMER
BOUNDARIES OF WARD NUMBER SIX OF
THE CITY OF BAdGERSFIELD SO AS TO
INCLUDe. THE NEW-INHABITED ANNEXED
· TERRITOEY WITHR~ THE BOUNDARIES OF
WARD NUMBER SIX OF THE CITY IF BAKERS*
FIELD, CALIFORN IA.
BE IT RESOLVED that whereas there has been duly, regu-
larly and legally annexed to and made a part of and incorporated
in the City of Bakersfield the following described property, said
property being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the ~uth line of Palm
Street and the west line of H Street and running thence
west along the south line of Palm Street to the west line of
A Street; thence south~al~ng the west line of A Street
to the south line of Brundage Lane (Bellevue RoadS; thence
east along the south line of Brundage Lane to the west
line of Kern Island Road; thence south along the west line
of Kern Island Road to the south line of Tzrrace Way; thence
east along the south line of Terrace Way to its intersection
with the extension southerly of the easterly line of Block F
Virginia Tract; thence north along said extension and along
the east line of Block F to the south line of Brundage Lane;
thence west along the south line of Brund~ge Lane to its
intersection with a line ~08.25 feet westerly from the line
parallel with the west'line of Chester Avenu~ thence north on
said line parallel with the west line of Chester Avenue to
the south line of Fourth Street; thence west along the south
line of Fourth Street to the west line of H Street; thence
north along the west line of H Street to the south line of
Palm Street and the point of beginning.
That said property was annexed to and incorporated in
the City of Bakersfield in accordance with an'act of the LegiSlature
of the State of California, entitled, "An act to provide for the
alte~a~!pn of the ~ho-undaries~of.and for. t~e~a~nnexa~tion-of terri~
tory tO municipal corporations, for the incorporati. On~of such
annexed territory in and as a part thereof, and for the district-

sUPplementary thereto;
And Whereas, the above mentioned act of the Legislature
requires the Council of the City o~Bakersfield by ordinance to
alter the boundaries of the ward of the City of Bakersfield .s_O' as
to include such annexed territory .in one or more wards; "'~'
And Whereas, Ward No. Six of the City of Bakersfield
is the oniy ward adjoining such' annexed territory,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED THAT' THE. C:':':'~I~:'OF
THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD DOES HEREBY alter the former boundaries
of Ward Number Six so as to include the annexed territory
hereinabove particularly described, and do hereby fix and deter-
mine that the boundaries of Ward Number Six of the City of Bakers-
field shall be as follows: "
Beginning at the intersection of the boundary line
between Sections 30 and 31, Township 29 South;"R'ange 28 East,
N,D,B, & M, and the center line of Chester Avenue; thence
westerly along said boundary line to the westerly line of
Oak Street; thence southerly along the westerly line of Oak
Street to the southerly line of Palm Street; thence easterly
along the southerly line of Palm Street to the westerly line
of A Street; thence southerly along the westerly line of A
Street to the ~utherly line of Brundage Lane' thence-....e~.sterly
along the southerly line of Brundage Lane to ~he weste~iy line
of Kern Island Road; thence southerly along the westerly line
of Kern Island Road to the southerly line of Terrace Way;
thence easterly along the southerly line of Terrace Way to

line of Block F Virginia Track; thence north~rt~..along
said extension and along the easterly line. Of Block F To the
southerly line of Brundage Lane; thence westerly along the
southerly line of Brundage Lane to its intersection with
a line 30~,25 feet westerly from and parallel with the
westerly line of Chester Avenue; thence northerly along said
line parallel with the westerly line of Chester Avenue to the
southerly line of 4th Street; thence easterly along the south-
erly line of 4th Street to the center'.line of Chester:.'-
· Avenue; thence northerly along the center line of Chester
Avenue to the point of beginning,
