AN ORDINANCE A~F~DIEG ORDINANCE
N0. 190 NEW SERIES, BY ADDING A
NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS SEC--
TION 8SA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE 0ITY OF
BAERSFIELD, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Ordinance No. 190 New Series of the City of
Bakersfield, regulating and imposing municipal licenses, be and
the same is hereby mended by adding a new-section thereto to be
numbered and known as section 8SA, as follows:
SECTION 8SA.
Every person, finn or corporation engaged in the
business, trade, calling or occupation of a .building contractor,
painting contractor, interior decorating contractor, plumbing
contractor, plastering ~ontractor, electrical contractor, sheet
metal contractor, and brick contractor, within the City of. Bakers-
field, whether operating at a fixed place of business within or
without the City of Bakersfield or having a fixed and permanent
headquarters within or without the City of Bakersfield, shall pgy
a license fee based upon the average monthly gross receipts and
sales thereof as shown by the statement filed by the person, firm
or Corporation, carrying on, conducting, keeping, managing or main-
taining the respective trade, business, calling, or occupation,
for the quarter, next preceding the date of said statement, as
provided in section 18 of this ordinance, and in accordance with
.. the schedule provided in section ~8 hereof.
SECTIOE 2. ~'
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
~,~.' herewith be and the same are hereby expressly repealed.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance
· was passed ah~.:adopte~ by the Council of the City of Bakers~field
