AN 0RDINAI~CE ~&,EI~DING SECTION 6 OF
ORDINANCE N0. 159 NEW SERIES, OF THE
CiTY OF BaKEMSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERS-
FIELD, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That section 8 of Ordinance No. 159 New Series, es-
tablishing a public pond, be and the same is hereby amended to
read as follows:
SECTION 6. Every person firm or corporation owning, keeping or
maintaining a Dog Kennel within the City of Bakersfield, must
first apply for and obtain a permit from t~ Manager of said·
City to so keep and maintain_ said dog kennel., Such permit when
so issued shall be numbered and the number thereof inserted in
the Dog ~egister Book, together with other data required to
sufficiently describe said dog kennel. A "Dog Kennel"'within
the meaning of this ordi nance~'shali be a pa6k or collection of
dog~,. exceeding three in number, kept and bred for hunting or
sale, and does not m~an merely the house or place where same are-
kept.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and·adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, on
the ~7~day of October, 1924, by the following vote:
