AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 168, NEW SERIES, SECTIONS 3
AND 4, AND REPEALING SUBDIVYSION
(f) OF SECTION I THEREOF, OF THE
CITY OF' BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF 'THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
as follows:
'SECTION 1.
That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 165 New Series of the
City of Bakersfield, passed and adopted by the Council of said
City, on April 30, 1923, be and the same is Hereby mended to
read as follows:
SECTION 3.
It shall'be unlawful for any person in any car, aero-
plan, boat, motor or other vehicle, 'or in-any place in said city
to have on his person or in his possession' any intoxicating liquor,
except as provided herein.
SECTION 2.
That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 165, New Series of the
City of Bakersfield, passed and adopted by the Council of s aid
City, on pr l, 1923, be and the same is hereby mended to read

SECTION 4 ·
It shall be unlawful for any person to have, keep or
store any intoxicating .liquor in any 'place,' in said City, except
as provided herein.
SECTION 3.
That'Subdivision (f) of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 165,
New-Series of the City of Bakersfield, passed and adopted by the
· ' Council of said City,-on April 30, 1923, be and the same is hereby
expressly· repealed.

If any section, sub-section, sentence, clause or phrase of
this ordinance is,.for any reason, held to·be unconstitutional or
invalid, such·decision shall not affect the remaining portion of
'this ordinance. The City Council hereby declares that it would
have passed this' ordinance and each section and sub-section thereof
irrespective of the fact that any one or more of the sections, sub-
sections, sentences, clauses or phrases be declared unconstit. utional
