HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 308 BE IT 0RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, as follows :' Section 1.. ·That Section 38 of Ordinance No. 131, New Series, of the City of Bakersfield, entitled "An ordinance regulating the Fire Department of the City of Bakersfield, prescribing its duties, pro- hibiting interference with or sending false alarms, regulating the storage, use and handling of inflamable liquids and ·products thereof, in the City of BakerSfield; making the violation hereof a misdemeanor and providing a penalty therefore; and repealing ordinance No. 102 and Ordinance No'. 28 New Series, and all other ordinances and parts .of ordinances in conflict herewith." be and the same is hereby mend- ed' to read as follows: SECTION 38. Storage tanks containing gasoline, kerosene or naptha, or other inflamable liquids below ground shall be made of steel and the capacity of such tanks and the depth to which said tanks are placed, and the manner of installation shall be in accordance with the rules promulgated by the National Fire Pro~ection A~'se-~a-t~0h, adopted~ihf''' 1926, and in accordance with the regulations of the National Board of Fire Underwriters, adopted in 192~, and to .the satisfaction the Chief of the Fire Department of the City of Bakersfield. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, on the ~ day of April, 1928, by the foil'owing vote:
