BE IT 0RDAINED BY THE COUNCI'L OF TH~"'C~"-0F BAKERS-
FIED, as follows:
SECTION 1.
A Milk Inspection Department is hereby cre~ed.in .the
City of Bakersfield, under the 3urisdicti'e$".'and supervision of
the City Health Officer of said City of Bakersfie!d.~'.'.';
It shall be unlawful for any person, fi~l~_.~':c.qrporation

or agent or employee of any person, firm or corporation, to

for sale or distribution any milk or cream for human 'c. onsumption
as milk or cream unless it conforms t'o the standards of grading
and to the requirements for the production of milk and cream as
established by the Pure Milk Law of California Sec. 3, Chapter 888

Statutes of 1927, as approved June 3rd,~ and'any amendments thereto
and the rules and regulations of the Department of Agriculture of
the State of California for its enforcement.
SECTION 3.
Any person, firm or corporation, violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not
more than five hundred ($500) dollars or less than twenty five ($25)
dollars, or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a period not
exceeding ninety (90) days.
SECTION 4.
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in .conflict
herewith are expressly repealed.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
