AN ORDINANCE AMENDING A P.0RTION OF SECTION
10P ORDINANCE N0. 293, .NEW S~RIES OF THE
CITY OF BAKER FIELD, AND FIXING TEE COMPEN-
SATION OF TEE ASSESSOR, AND PROVIDING FOR
TEE DAILY OPERATION 0F A MUNICIPAL DEPART-
MENT.
WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide for the daily opera-
tion of a municipal department;
NOW TEEREFORE, BE IT 0RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1-
That a portion of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 293, New
Series of the City of Bakersfield, entitled "AN ORDINANCE FIXING
THE COMPENSATION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF TEE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 2V6 NEW SERIES OF TEE
CITYOF BAKERSFIELD AND ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES
AMENDATORYTEEREOF OR IN CONFLICT HEREWITH", be and the same is
h~reby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 1.
39. ASSESSOR ................ . ........... $~)koo
SECTION 2.
This ordinance is designated to provide for the daily
operation of a municipal department, and is hereby declared to
be an emergency measure and shall be in full force and effect im-
mediately upon its passage.
