AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE USE OF STREETS
WITHIN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIEID, BY TRUCKS
AND TRAILERS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELO, as follows:
SECTION 1.
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corpora-
tion to drive or operate trucks or trailers through the City of
Bakers field upon 'any of the streets thereof, except the follow-
ing:
54th Street, Union ~.venue, Brundage Lane and Oak
Street; provided, however, that they may use such streets as
it is necessary to drive or to reach said above mentioned
streets, and provided further that should it be necessary for
said trucks or trailers to deliver or collect merchandise
within said City of Bakersfield, said truck or trailer may
use such streets of the City of Bakersfield, the use of which
is not otherwise prohibited by ordinance or police regulation,
for the purpose of delivering or collecting said merchandise,
but must use the most direct and logical route to or from
said point or points to the above mentioned streets.
SECTION 2.
Any perso't~, firm or corporation violating any of the
provisions 'of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a
fine not exceeding five hundred ($500.00) dollars, or by im-
prisonment in the County Jail of Eern County not exceeding
ninety (90) days, or by bo'th such fine and imprisonment.

I HEREBY CERTIH that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield,
following vote:
