CONFLICT HEREWITH" BY ADDING THERETO A SECTION TO
BE KNOWN AS SECTION 4-A.
BE IT 0RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Ordinance No. ~0~ New Series entitled "AN ORDINANCE ES-
TABLISHING A CERTAIN RESIDENCE DISTRICT IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
PROHIBITING CERTAIN FACTORIES, WOES AND BUSINESSES FROM BEING ES-
TABLISHED, MAINTAINED OR CARRIED ON IN SUCH DISTRICT: PROVIDING
FOR CERTAIN EXCEPTIONS TO TEE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE, AND
PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS HEREOF, AND RE-
PEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH",
be and the same is hereby mended by adding thereto an additional
section, to be known and designated as Section 4-A.
SECTION 4-A
The following territory shall be and the same is hereby ex-
cepted from the residence district of the City of Bakersfield, as the
same is established in Section 1 of said Ordinance No. ~05 New Series,
to -wit:
All that portion of the City of Bakersfield within the following
boundaries:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the wsterly line of
Union Avenue with the southerly line of 18th Street, and running thence
westerly along the southerly line of 18th Street a distance of 97.06
feet; thence southerly on a direct line to a point in the northerly line
of that certain alley running easterly and westerly through Block 10
in the Kruse Tract distant thereon 97.55 feet westerly from the westerly
line of Union Avenue; thence easterly along the northerly line of
said alley to its point of intersection with the westerly line of
Union Avenue; thence northerly along the westerly line of Union
Avenue to its intersection with the southerly line of 18th Street and
the point of beginning.

I HEREBY 0ERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the 0ity of Bakersfield, a~ a regular
