AN ORDINANCE AMENDING OMDINANCE NO. 303 NEW SERIES
ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A CERTAIN RESI-
DENCE DISTRICT IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, PROHIB-
ITING CERTAIN FACTORIES, WORKS ANIJBUSINESSES FROM
BEING ESTABLISHED, MAINTAINED OR CARRIED ON IN SUCH
DISTRICT: PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN EXCEPTIONS TO THE
PROVISIONS OF THISORDINANCE, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY
FOR VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS HEREOF, AND REPEAL-
ING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CON-
FLICT HEREWITH" BY ADDING THERETO A SECTION TO BE
KNOWN AS SECTION 4-B.
BE IT O~DAINED BY THE C SOIL OF THE CITY OF BAKEP~FIELD,
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Ordinance No. 303 New Series entitled "AN ORDINANCE
ESTABLISHING A CERTAIN RE.'.SIDENCE DISTRICT IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
PROHIBITING CERTAIN FACTORES, WORKS AND BUSINESSES FR(M BEING ES-
TABLISRED, MAINTAINED OR CARRED ON IN SUCH DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR
CERTAIN EXCEPTIONS TO THE PROVISIONS (F THIS OFDINANCE, AND PRO-
VIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF ~HE PROVISIONS HEREOF, AND REPEAL-
ING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANOES IN CONFLICT HEEEWITH", be
and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto an additional sec-
tion, to be known and designated as Section 4-B.
SECTION 4-B.
The following territory shall be and the same is hereby ex-
cepted from the residence district of the City of Bakersfield, as the
same is established in Section 1 of said Ordinance No. 303 New Series,
to-wit:
All that portion of the City of Bakersfield within the
following boundaries a
Beginning at a point in the southerly line of California
Avenue 160 feet westerly from the westerly line ~f Union Avenue;
thence southerly and parallel with the westerly line of Union Avenue
to the southerly line of 4th Street; thence westerly along the south-
erly line of 4th Street to the easterly line of V Street; thence
southerly along the easterly line of V Street to the northerly line
of Brundage Lane; thence easterly along the northerly line of Brund-
age Lane to ,.~.re westerly line of Union Avenue; thence northerly eaeng
the westerly line of Union Avenue to the southerly line of Calif-
ornia Avenue; thence westerly along the southerly line of Calif-
ornia Avenue 150 feet to the point of beginning.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Ba~.ersfi,eld, at a regular
