WIN" be and the sine is hereby mended to ~ead as follows, to-wit:
SECTION 20.
It shall be ~lawful for ~y person or persons to bum
straw, l~ber, trash, rubbish, leaves or o~er combustible material,
in any public street or alley in the City of B~ersfield at ~y time;
or on ~y lot or premises outside ~e prescribed fire limits of ~e
0ity of B~er~ield, except be~een ~e hours of sinrise and 12 noon,
md no such c~bustible material shall be b~ned within thirty feet
6f ~y fence or building; ~d no such combustible tutorial shall be
burned except ~en reasonable precautions shall be t~en ~ prevent
the spread of such fire; provided, however, the Fire Marshall of the
City of B~ersfield may, in his discretion, issue ~itten pemits for
~e burning of such straw, lmber, trash, rubbi~, leaves or other
combustible materials at hours other thin those ~ove stated when re-
quested so to do.
