AN. ORDINANCE REQUIRING THE DIS-
POSAL AND REMOVAL OF GARBAGE
AND RUBBISH BY ANY PERSON, FIRM
OR CORPORATION VACATT'NG P~EMISES
USED FOR RESIDENCE PURPOSES, AND
PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION

SECTION 1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
Any person or persons, firm or corporation vacating any
building or premises used for residence purposes in the City of Bak-
ersfield, shall at such time have removed or remove from such build-
ing or premises all garbage, paper, trash, tin cans, bottles, ashes,
lumber scraps, orates, automobile casings, tires and tubes, or any
automobile parts or bodies, or garbage or rubbish of any kind or na-
ture.
SECTION 2.
If any person or persons, firm or corporation, shall
violate any of the provisions of. this ordinance by failing to re-
move such garbage or rubbish, or any of the articles set forth in
Section 1 hereof, said person or persons, firm or corporation shall
be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon arrest snd conviction thereof shall
be punished by a fine not exceeding fifty dollars ($50.00) or by im-
prisonment in the County Jail for a term not to exceed thirty (30)
d'ays, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield on the am
