AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION
12 OF ORDINANCE N0. 1V1 NEW
SERIES OF THE CITY OF BAKERS-
FIELD, CALIFORNIA.
BE IT CRDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIEID,
as fo 1 lows:
Section 1.
That Section 12 of Ordinance No. 1V1 New Series of the
City of Bakersfield, entitled "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING PUBLIC
DANCES AND PUBLIC DANCE HALLS AND REQUIRING PEP~lq' S THEREFOR, AND
MAKING A VIOLATION HEREOF A MISDEMEANOR AND PROVIDING A PENALTY
THEREFOR AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 182 NEW SERIES, AND ALL
ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREW~ITH" be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 12.
All dances shall be stopped and discontinued, and all
public dance halls shall be closed at I o' clock A. M., except
when a special permit therefor has been granted by said Chief
of Police of said City. No public dances shall be held on Sun-
day except that dances conducted on Saturday or Saturday evening
may remain open until I o' clock on Sunday morning.
Section 2.
All ordinances' or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinances was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield,
at a regular meeting thereof held on the~~d
