AN ORDINANCE Ar.'!EN~'ING SECTION 1V OF
ORDINANCE NU~BER 391 N~:! SERIES BY
ADDING THERETO A SUBDIVISION TO BE
KNOI.'~.~ AS SUBDIVISION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COU~CIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Ordinance Number 391 New Series of the City of Bakers-
field, California, entitled "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING AND R,~POSING
R~UNICIPAL LICENSES; DESCRIBING HOW AND BY ~I0~..~,~ LICENSES AND PERMITS
SHALL BE OBTAINED; ~.~KING A VIOLATION ~iERv~'.OF A ~.~ISDEMEANOR, AND
PRESCRIBING A PENALTY THEREI-,'OR, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 346 NE~Y
SERIES AND ALL A~END.~iE~TS THERETO, AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS
OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH" be and the ss~,~e is hereby amended
by adding to Section lV of said ordinance a subdivision to be known
as Subdivision 42, which shall read as follows:
42. Schools of Cosmetolo~y.
Every person, firm or corporation engaged in conducting
and/or operating a school of cosmetology, as defined in Section
18 of "An Act Concerning Cosmetology", approved May 31, 1927, as
mended, shall pay to the License Collector of the City of Bakers-
field the sum of ~/)~~ Dollars per quarter.
SECTION 2.
All ordinances or p~..rts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
